Partnership for Drug-Free Kids
The Partnership for Drug-Free Kids is committed to helping families struggling with their son or daughter’s substance use. They empower families with information, support and guidance to get the help their loved one needs and deserves. And they advocate for greater understanding and more effective programs to treat the disease of addiction.

Stop Underage Drinking
Stop Underage Drinking is a comprehensive portal of federal resources for information on underage drinking and ideas for combating this issue.

The Cool Spot
The Cool Spot provides resources, information, and support on alcohol use and abuse among teenagers. It is the young teen’s place for information about alcohol and resisting peer pressure.

Too Smart to Start
The Too Smart To Start Web helps youth, families, educators, and communities prevent underage alcohol use and its related problems. It provides useful programs and strategies, downloadable materials, interactive games and exercises, and other resources to support The Surgeon General’s Call to Action To Prevent and Reduce Underage Drinking.

National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University
The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse informs Americans of the economic and social costs of addiction and substance abuse and its impact on their lives; assesses what works in prevention, treatment and disease management; and encourages every individual and institution to take responsibility to reduce these health problems. The organization strives to provide health care providers, policymakers and individuals with the tools they need to succeed and to remove the stigma of addiction, replacing shame and despair with hope.

Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP)
The mission of the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention is to improve behavioral health through evidence-based prevention approaches.

Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT)
The mission of the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment is to promote community-based substance abuse treatment and recovery services for individuals and families in every community. CSAT provides national leadership to improve access, reduce barriers, and promote high quality, effective treatment and recovery services.

Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA)
CADCA works to reduce substance abuse internationally through the establishment of multi-sector anti-drug community coalitions. CADCA offers training, technical assistance and other resources on how to build effective community coalitions to NGOs and community groups in numerous countries affected by the cultivation, trafficking and use of illicit drugs and alcohol problems.

Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Drug Misuse Prevention and Recovery
It is the mission of the Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Drug Misuse Prevention and Recovery, in partnership with the nation’s colleges and universities, to promote student success nationally by providing data-driven solutions to alcohol and drug misuse; lead the dialogue on collegiate alcohol and drug misuse and recovery in the national agenda; and ensure the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of the Center’s efforts.

Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP)
The Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) works to reduce drug use and its consequences by leading and coordinating the development, implementation, and assessment of U.S. drug policy. In addition to its vital ongoing work, ONDCP also provides administrative and financial support to the President’s Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis, established by Executive Order on March 29, 2017 by President Donald J. Trump.

National Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC)
NAADAC’s Mission is to lead, unify and empower addiction focused professionals to achieve excellence through education, advocacy, knowledge, standards of practice, ethics, professional development and research.

National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare (NCSACW)
NCSACW is a national resource center providing information, expert consultation, training and technical assistance to child welfare, dependency court and substance abuse treatment professionals to improve the safety, permanency, well-being and recovery outcomes for children, parents and families.

National Institute for Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA)
The mission of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism is to generate and disseminate fundamental knowledge about the effects of alcohol on health and well-being, and apply that knowledge to improve diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of alcohol-related problems, including alcohol use disorder, across the lifespan.

NIDA’s mission is to advance science on the causes and consequences of drug use and addiction and to apply that knowledge to improve individual and public health.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA’s mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America’s communities.
