The QuitLine provides free personal health coaching, participant toolkits, and other resources to Michigan residents who want to quit using tobacco. Interested persons can call 1-800-QUIT-NOW or 1-800-784-8669.

Tobacco-Free Michigan
Tobacco-Free Michigan is a coalition that works to prevent and reduce tobacco use and its harmful effects in all Michigan communities through education, networking, advocacy and dissemination of research data, with a specific focus on vulnerable populations heavily targeted by the tobacco industry.



Do Your Part to Stop Underage Drinking
Do Your Part: Be the Solution is a program of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services designed to educate Michigan citizens about the dangers and the extent of substance abuse in Michigan, especially the abuse of prescription drugs, tobacco and alcohol. It is our hope that with the right information, everyone can do their part and be the solution to the growing substance abuse problems in our state.

Michigan Coalition to Reduce Underage Drinking
The mission of the Michigan Coalition to Reduce Underage Drinking (MCRUD) is to provide leadership on state and national issues and to assist individuals, grassroots groups, and organizers to reduce underage drinking locally.

Michigan Prevention Network
The mission of Prevention Network is to prevent youth drug abuse and other risk behaviors by working with individuals, grassroots groups, and other organizations in order to improve the health, wellness, and safety in Michigan communities.



Michigan Mental Health Networker
The goal of the Michigan Mental Health Networker is to provide information about mental health services to treatment professionals, social service organizations, and the general community. The Network actively collects information about mental health services in the communities of Ann Arbor, Battle Creek, Bay City, Detroit Metro, Flint, Grand Rapids, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Midland, Monroe, and Saginaw.

Michigan Narcotics Anonymous (NA) was founded by recovering addicts within the state of Michigan’s NA service structure. It is a state-wide committee of recovering addicts comprised of addicts from within both regions of the state of Michigan volunteering time to help carry the message of NA primarily throughout the state of Michigan. They are dedicated to helping people to overcome the problems of addiction by providing a statewide website to help recovering addicts find meetings and local NA functions in their communities.

Michigan Prevention Association
Michigan Prevention Association promotes excellence in the field of prevention, makes prevention a priority, and unites prevention advocates across disciplines to create a large, vocal constituency on behalf of prevention efforts throughout the human life span.

Office of Recovery Oriented System of Care
The Michigan state Office of Recovery Oriented System of Care oversees treatment, prevention, education, and enforcement efforts related to substance abuse in Michigan. The website provides information about alcohol, drug, and gambling addictions, and the services that are available to help Michigan families facing these problems. This site also provides information on educating youth and adults about addictions, collaborating with law enforcement, eliminating illegal drugs, reducing drug-related violence, and stopping underage alcohol and tobacco use.
