UNITED FOR PREVENTION AND RECOVERY LENAWEE DREAMS OF A WORLD WHERE ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS HAVE WHAT WE NEED TO LIVE HEALTHY, FULFILLED LIVES. THESE LIVES ARE NOT DEFINED BY SUBSTANCE USE.
The Lenawee Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition was formed in 2004. In 2025, we changed our name to United for Prevention and Recovery (UPR) Lenawee to better reflect our values. While our name has changed, our priority is still addressing the pressing issues of substance use in Lenawee County.
UPR Lenawee meets monthly and is made up of dedicated community members and representatives from professional sectors including health care, law enforcement, education, and others. We believe that every community member has something valuable to offer and contribute.
The LSAPC is staffed and supported by the Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority (LCMHA). LCMHA aims to promote positive outcomes by creating a path to resilience, recovery, wellness, and self-determination.
Theory of Change
We will achieve our mission by bringing people together. Together, we have what we need to create community change. We will create change through awareness, advocacy, and education based on data.
Goals
- We can make informed decisions about substance use.
- We have the support we need to build and maintain our recovery.
- We have what we need to provide the best care possible.
